Robin Roberts, 'Good Morning America' Host, Celebrates Girlfriend Amber Laign's B-Day Sharing Pics of Them Together

Robin Roberts's longtime girlfriend, Amber Laign recently turned a year older and the "Good Morning America" host showered her with lots of love on social media.

Robin Roberts took to Instagram on Thursday to celebrate her longtime girlfriend, Amber Laign, turning a year older.

The "GMA" host shared a stack of loved-up photos of herself and her woman and gave a lovely caption as reported by Daily News.

"Happy Birthday to my Sweet Amber!! What a blessing that she came into the world on this day. I'm grateful that this amazing woman has brought into my world unconditional love, compassion, adventure, and such joy! "

She ended the post, encouraging people to share what they were grateful for on that special Thursday.

Robin, who came out as gay in 2013, told Ellen DeGeneres that she met Amber on a blind date, and they had been dating for almost nine years before she came out.

She explained that one of the reasons she kept it secret was because Amber wasn't a fan of the spotlight.

"No, but you know not everybody wants to be in the spotlight. She's very, very supportive and she's been right there beside me every step of the way, she said."

While the world was surprised when Roberts dropped the bombshell of her sexuality, TMZ reports that the host's family, friends, and colleagues knew about their longtime relationship.

1. She is a professional massage therapist who graduated from the Swedish Institute of Health Sciences. She specializes in Deep Tissue, Swedish, Myofascial Release, and Trigger Point.

2. Laign has a background in fashion. She once worked as a sales representative for Berger & Stevens.

3. She is 14 years younger than her daytime host girlfriend.

4. Before Robert came out, she and Laign attended a couple of events together.
