Chance the Rapper and Wife Kirsten Bennett Welcome Daughter & Share Sweet First Photo of Baby Marli

Kirsten Bennett partly reveals her brand new daughter with Chance the Rapper in a post announcing her arrival. The couple who married in March welcomed their second daughter named Marli.

Chance the Rapper’s family has just gotten bigger with the addition of his second daughter, Marli. The 26-year-old father and his wife, Kirsten Bennett announced the birth of their little girl on September 6.

It was Kirsten who shared the happy news by way of an Instagram post. She delighted her followers with the first photo of baby Marli though she didn’t reveal her child’s face. Instead, she showcased the little girl’s body wearing a onesie that read, “I am who he says I am.”

AN EVENTFUL YEAR

In March, Kirsten and Chance who are already parents to 3-year-old Kensli Bennett announced that they were expecting their second child. Chance announced their baby’s due date saying, “New baby droppin September.”

That same month, the couple had a fairytale wedding after a civil ceremony months earlier. They legalized their union at the Cook County clerk’s office in Chicago on December 27. Their lavish wedding, on the other hand, took place in Newport Beach on March 9.

THEIR FAIRYTALE ROMANCE

The 26-year-old rapper first met Kirsten when he was only ten as he revealed in a series of tweets in March. It was during his mother’s office party in 2003 and Kirsten performed with a group of girls as if they were Destiny’s Child.

Chance just kept staring at her the whole time and later admitted, “I knew I was gonna marry that girl.” 16 years later, he actually did.

HOW FATHERHOOD CHANGED HIM

At 22, Chance became a father for the first time, altering his whole universe unexpectedly. Speaking to Complex in 2017, he said becoming a parent made him appreciate his own parents even more.

“There was never a point, ever, in my life where I can remember loving someone as much or more than I love my mom until I met my daughter. So, it made me understand that my mom loves me more than she loves anybody in the world, and that’s crazy to me.”

The three-time Grammy winner also described how he felt the day he welcomed his eldest daughter.

“I had never experienced joy like that before.”

That being said, we're glad that Chance got to experience that kind of joy again with the arrival of his new daughter. Congratulations to the blessed couple.
