'Facts of Life' Star Lisa Whelchel Shares Photos of Pregnant Daughter Haven Cradling Her Baby Bump
Lisa Whelchel is about to become a grandmother! The actress shared photos of herself with her oldest daughter, as the younger woman cuddled her baby bump.
Many remember Lisa Whelchel as "Blaire Warner" from the '80s sitcom, "The Facts of Life," and come December 2019; she'll be a grandmother as her oldest daughter, Haven Weits, is pregnant with her first child.
In new photos shared to the actress's Instagram account, the soon-to-be mom dressed in a black outfit cuddled her baby bump as she stood surrounded by flowers, tall pine trees, and a water fountain. In another snap, Whelchel dressed in an orange top stood in the same spot as her daughter, smiling widely.
Other photos showed beautiful natural scenery, and the mother-daughter duo helping themselves to baked goodies.
Whelchel captioned the post,
"Beauty and Love" with a heart-shaped emoji, and the hashtag, "#MotherDaughterTrip."
In a separate Instagram post, Weits shared a sonogram of her baby, writing alongside, "Hi, little baby, I'm so curious to know your unique personality," before adding that they both already share a love for sleeping when least expected.
The oldest daughter of the actress got married about seven years ago, in a beautiful outdoor ceremony, and for her fifth anniversary back in 2017, she shared photos from the special day, with a message of love, honor, and friendship.
While Weits is not into the entertainment world like her mother, her younger sister, Clancy, whom her mom once described in a Facebook post as "Head of social goodness," is gradually towing that line.
In 2016, the blonde beauty and Whelchel's lookalike joined the actress for the TV series "Hearts of Spring."
At the time, the '80s sitcom star told People she and her daughter had the perfect chemistry, and the two got to play their real-life role on the show. Four years before that time, the TV star divorced her husband of 24 years, and father of her children, Steve Cauble.
Although the split was mutual, Whelchel said in a later interview,
"I never thought [divorce] would happen to me. It was painful to realize that it was not going to work."
The pain made her join the CBS show, "Survivor," which helped her cope with the divorce. The end of the actress's marriage also marked her return to the spotlight and TV shows.
However, despite her recent projects, Whelchel remains famous for starring in "The Facts of Life," and was close to her co-star, Charlotte Rae, whom she called in April 2018 to wish a happy birthday, for the last time.
