Life Struggles of 'the Sopranos' Edie Falco
The delectable onscreen star who featured in a prominent TV series "The Sopranos" details her life occurrences in the course of an interview.
The Italian native began her acting career decades ago. Edie starred in an array of dramas and films, but her big catch was appearing in the TV drama titled "The Sopranos."

It is safe to say that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree in the case of the actress. Eldie's genes reeked of a career in the entertainment industry. Her father was an Italian art-director, and her Swedish mom was an actress. The family lived in Brooklyn and welcomed their daughter, Edie Falco in 1963.
Before bagging her "The Sopranos" role as Carmela Soprano, the Brooklyn born starred as a correction officer in HBO's crime drama; "Law & Order and Homicide.
The life-changing role as Carmela enjoyed the unique actress delivery of a dedicated wife and mother. The drama centred on the Soprano family, its intricacies focuses on the wife of Tony, Carmela, but also on her criminal husband who later sought the help of a psychiatrist.

In the course of an interview, the actress expressed her thoughts on the character she played. According to her, she wouldn't seem judgmental as she would have probably made the same decisions. However, the concern for her husband was a bit overbearing for her.
"I can't be objective enough. Having been in her shoes, literally, it really did make sense, the storyline. However, if the writers had handed me a script where she went off as a restaurant entrepreneur, I would have said that made sense, too! You don't go back to that guy."

The series was a paradigm shift for the actress, but it also enhanced the pockets of the producers. Tabloids ran wide with stories centring on the piece, "Times" took their time in analyzing the whole story.
The other feature that made her the talk of the town was the American TV series on medical comedy. Her "Jackie Peyton" character showed an ER nurse smuggles drugs and sleeps with the hospital's pharmacist.
In an interview, the "Soprano" cast emphasized that her roles as "Carmela" and "Jackie" came at a time when American TV series wanted to portray how imperfect humans can be even in their quest for perfection.

In terms of perfection, Edie has had a fair share of spilling situations. The onscreen star suffered alcohol addiction for a while. She stated that she was hanging out in inappropriate gatherings and drinking most of the time.
Her breakthrough came after she maintained a sober lifestyle. In 2003, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. The award-winning actress maintained that her life struggles with alcohol and cancer reshaped her perspective on life.
She also acknowledged that sobriety helped her deal with her cancer diagnosis. The Golden Globes winner was rumoured to have an affair with Stanley Tucci a married man, at that point in her life, varied stories were printed about her.

The cancer survivor who has two children, namely Anderson and Macy, commented on her parenting, stating how ingenious her son is. According to information garnered by People at the Angela Lansbury gala in 2010, the mother of two considers her kids to be a lookalike of "Fabio" the popular romance cover boy, and "Chucky" the massive looking baby doll.
She continued to shower praises on her children. During the interview and went further to say who her lookalikes are. The mother of two said Ellen DeGeneres and Felicity Huffman are the two celebrities whom she shares a resemblance with.
Apart from her role as a supportive wife and mother in her features, Edie's real life is a dedicated career woman who is also loving, and has never been married.
