Actress Zooey Deschanel Dating 'Property Brothers' Star Jonathan Scott

Zooey Deschanel didn't waste any time finding another man to replace her former husband Jacob Pechenik and that man goes by the name of Jonathan Scott.

The "Property Brothers" star is the Deschanel's new love partner and they were recently spotted walking hand-in-hand on their way to a restaurant.

In the pictures, the lovebirds can be seen arriving at Little Dom's restaurant in Silver Lake, California, a date that took place on Friday, September 13.

HOW DID THEY MEET

Despite being considered unlucky, the day must have been good to the new couple as they flashed wide smiles during the outing and even revealed a little PDA.

It has been reported that Deschanel and Scott met while filming a segment for James Corden's Carpool Karaoke last month, where they appeared alongside their siblings, Emily Deschanel and Drew Scott.

According to a source, whose identity is yet to be revealed:

"They both seem pretty happy and into it so far... It's still very new and she wasn't really looking to date, but she and Jonathan hit it off unexpectedly."

THE END OF HER MARRIAGE

Deschanel has gotten back on the horse after announcing, on September 6, that she had split from her husband of four years, with him she shares two children, Elsie Otter Pechenik and Charlie Wolf Pechenik.

Through their representatives, the actress and the producer said that they would be better off as "friends, business partners and co-parents rather than life partners."

THEY HAD BEEN APART FOR A WHILE

They added:

"We remain committed to our business, our values and most of all our children. Thank you for respecting our privacy at this time."

Deschanel and Pechenik met on the set of Bill Murray's "Rock the Kasbah" in 2015 and tied the knot in June of the same year, in a very private ceremony in Texas.

According to a friend, the two had been separated for quite a few months and they only wanted the best for their children, which might explain why they kept their marital problems a secret.
