'Empire' Star Taraji P. Henson Parties with Mary J. Blige, Tiffany Haddish at '80s Birthday Bash
It was a fun-time for the friends and family of actress Taraji P Henson as she celebrated her 49th birthday with an 80's themed party at a roller-skating rink. The "Empire" star took to Instagram to share a ton of party photos.
One of the images include her and her fiancé, Kelvin Hayden, whom she got engaged to last May according to The Blast, having a good time.
The photo has gotten over 100,000 likes and celebratory comments from her fans. It was captioned:
"#DanceBreak with baby @kelvinhayden #TPH80s"
The mother-of-one also shared photos while she stood in front of a 'Happy Birthday, Taraji' sign and danced on the rink. She captioned the post:
"SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!! I am still floating!!! Thank you to EVERYONE who came out to help me celebrate my birthday. I pray y'all had as much fun as I did!!"
However, Taraji wasn't the only one to share photos. Singer and songwriter, Mary J. Blige, who was also at the party, did too. The Blast reports that the singer shared some snapshots of her and the birthday celebrant posing goofily at the camera. Mary captioned the post:
"About last night!! Celebrating my Sis @tarajiphenson's birthday in Chicago. 80's themed skate party!!! When the girls get together, it's too much fun!!! Keep the celebration going all month!! #VirgoSeason"

Besides Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Fat Joe, and Tasha Smith were also at the party. One person who wasn't at the party was actress Viola Davis. However, the 54-year-old had taken to Instagram to celebrate Taraji on her birthday according to The Good Morning America website.

"I wouldn't have gotten this cover if you hadn't insisted,"
Davis continued her caption saying:
"It was just supposed to be you, but you told them you wouldn't do it if you couldn't do it with me. We held each other up during the Oscars that year."
The "How To Get Away With Murder" star ended the post with
