Katie Couric Shares an Adorable Throwback Photo with Her Daughter

Mum-of-two Katie Couric is a doting mother. She never misses a chance to show off her daughters and recently took to Instagram to share a throwback picture of her daughter, Ellie.

Katie Couric was heartbroken when her first husband, John Paul Monahan passed away from colon cancer in 1998. However, he left her with two beautiful daughters, Ellie and Carrie, whom she loves dearly.

The journalist recently took to the social media site, Instagram, to share a throwback picture of her oldest daughter, Ellie. The picture was a baby picture of the 23-year-old.

More than eight thousand eight hundred fans liked the post. Many flooded the comments section with praise for little Ellie.

"I love her dainty little fingers!" wrote one fan. Another added, "What a cute kiddo."

Other fans took to the comments to point out how similar the pair appeared. Many also agreed with Katie that time indeed flew by.

"It flies. My grandchildren are the ages I think my children should be," wrote one fan.

Earlier this year it was revealed by Katie that Ellie Monahan and her boyfriend Mark Dobrosky were engaged. Mark used the same engagement ring, Katie's late husband Jay Monahan had proposed to her with, to pop the question to Ellie.

Katie and her late husband had met while she was a correspondent for Today. He had been a lawyer in Washington, D.C.

They tied the knot on January 24, 1989, in Washington. Their wedding had been attended by their closest friends and family.
