Erica Mena of LHHNY Reportedly Spends $50K on Diamond Chain for First-Time Father-To-Be Safaree

Pregnant Erica Mena's luxurious diamond-studded push present for her new husband, Safaree will go nicely with the costly new wedding ring on his finger.

The tables were turned between Erica Mena and the father of her unborn child, Safaree Samuels. According to reports, the soon-to-be two-time mom gifted the first-time dad-to-be with a push present.

THE CUSTOM SURROUNDING PUSH PRESENTS

Push presents are normally given to new moms as a way for fathers to say “thank you” for pushing out a baby into the world.

According to Baby Center’s executive director, Linda Murray who spoke to the New York Times, push presents are expected by moms who feel “they deserve something for bearing the burden for nine months, getting sick, ruining their body.”

In the past, several celebrities have been showered with extravagant push presents. Among them was Kylie Jenner who not only got an expensive ring from her baby daddy, Travis Scott but she was also gifted with a black Ferrari.

Her sister, Kim Kardashian, got a thank you diamond choker from husband, Kanye West while Blac Chyna gifted herself with a brand new Rolls Royce after giving birth to another Kardashian offspring courtesy of Rob Kardashian.

Meanwhile, Beyonce fashioned a huge blue ring on her finger after giving birth to her eldest child, Blue Ivy Carter, while Jennifer Lopez received diamond earrings worth $2.5 million from Marc Anthony after delivering their twins.

But there's more to a push present if Erica's latest show of love is an indication. She thinks her new husband deserves it too simply because he’s becoming a father for the first time.

It also cost Safaree $175k to seal his engagement with Erica. That’s reportedly the value of the 14-carat platinum ring he gave her when he got down on one knee in December at a Christmas Eve gathering with friends and family.

ERICA'S LAVISH VERSION OF A FATHER'S PUSH-PRESENT

Sources close to the “Love & Hip Hop” couple told TMZ that the pregnant star chose a 14-carat rose diamond-studded Cuban chain as the perfect gift to congratulate her husband. The chain (see a photo here) which has 36.65-carat diamonds and a lock with a nameplate that reads, “DADDY” reportedly cost $50k.

THE COST OF SAYING "I DO"

The extravagant gift would go nicely with the new ring on Safaree’s finger courtesy of their recent wedding. The couple tied the knot earlier this month, just a week after revealing Erica’s pregnancy.

Their wedding rings took center stage as the couple announced their marriage. “It cost to say “I Do”, Safaree wrote to caption a clip of the sparklers, “but its worth it,” he added.

It also cost Safaree $175k to seal his engagement with Erica. That’s reportedly the value of the 14-carat platinum ring he gave her when he got down on one knee in December at a Christmas Eve gathering with friends and family.

It was a romantic proposal complete with 20,000 rose petals, 200 candles and musician 112 performing. A fireworks show capped the occasion.

It’s safe to assume that love has no price for the couple who in no time will be celebrating another priceless gift with the birth of their first child together. They’re having a baby girl, by the way.
