HollywoodLife: Liam Hemsworth Reportedly Still Loves Miley Cyrus after Their Split

Liam Hemsworth doesn’t seem to have totally gotten over his ex-wife Miley Cyrus as “he still loves her.”

When the news of Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus split surfaced in August, fans of the couple believed it was another of their on and off moments.

However, the Australian actor shocked fans when he filed for divorce a week after, citing irreconcilable differences.

While it seems both parties have moved on― Liam with actress Maddison Brown and Miley with singer Cody Simpson― a source close to the actor reveals that he is not completely over Miley.

While speaking to Hollywood Life, the anonymous source claimed that Liam is taking his split from the singer quite hard.

The insider said:

“Liam still loves Miley, and this break up has been extremely hard for him. He took this very, very hard. Some would even argue even harder than she did.”

The source explained that Liam’s decision to permanently end things was because Miley was no longer the woman he fell in love with earlier.

The 29-year can’t seem to reconcile all that he sees on the internet with the person he knew Miley to be. After the split, Liam reportedly left the country to be with his family in Australia in order to keep a low key profile.

Also, it is believed the hasty decision to file for divorce was influenced by Liam’s family, especially his mom, as she “always struggled approving Miley,” notes Hollywood Life.

Regardless of what sources might say, Liam is evidently moving on. “The Hunger Games” star was spotted with his new woman, Maddison Brown, last week Thursday.

The budding couple was seen holding hands, exchanging kisses, and getting lunch at an Italian restaurant in New York.

According to US Weekly, the youngest Hemsworth brother is enjoying his time with the “Dynasty” star. A source close to Liam told the publication:

“He’s so into Maddison and really likes her. Liam feels like Maddison gets him and understands him, partly because she is also Australian. They also both share similar senses of humor.”

Miley, on the other hand, ended her fling with Kaitlynn Carter and is keeping busy with pop singer Cody Simpson.

According to Celebrity Nine, Liam and Miley first met during their time on the set of the movie “The Last Song” in 2009. By March 2010, they went public with their relationship, and five months later called it quits.

They were able to rekindle their love that same month, and in June 2012, Liam popped the question. A year later, they called off the engagement only to reconcile in 2016.

On Christmas Eve 2018, Miley and Liam tied the knot in a super-secret wedding ceremony at the Nashville home. On August 11, their separation was announced after only eight months of marriage.
