Wendy Williams Receives Star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame

Recently recognized for her strives in the media and entertainment industry, Wendy Williams was honored with a star on "Hollywood's Walk of Fame." She duly expressed her gratitude in an Instagram post.

Wendy Williams is officially a Hollywood star, as she now has her name written in a golden star on the industry's walk of fame.

In the Instagram post, the host of "The Wendy Williams Show" shared a photo of herself lying on the red carpet, in a pose very close to her star on the walk of fame.

Wendy's dress was just right for the occasion, as she wore a long black silk dress that had stars all over it. Her golden hair was worn long, while she accessorized with a silver ring on her third left finger, as well as a silver wristwatch, and bangles on her wrist.

In the caption to the post, which was followed by three Purple Heart emojis, the star delightfully showing her gratitude.

The recognition comes following a challenging year for Wendy Williams, a fact she also addressed while accepting her star.

Part of the 55-year-old's struggles this year includes her split from her husband, Kevin Hunter, after he had an affair with, and got another woman pregnant.

She tried hard to hold back the tears streaming down her face as she and her son, 19-year-old Kevin Jr. posed for photographs on the red carpet. The newly inducted star told PEOPLE that her son had a huge role to play in her success.

She said,

"He's always encouraged me to keep it going and never asks me to pull back from anything that I say or that I wear or anything like that. He's always been very encouraging. So now it's just the two of us against the world."

On Monday's episode of "The Wendy Williams Show" the host defended Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner after being mocked by the audience as they presented an award at the 2019 Emmy Awards on Sunday. Wendy said those who laughed at the women were being jealous of them.
