James Van Der Beek's 4 Little Kids Reenact His DWTS Pirate Performance in a New Home Video
James Van Der Beek's children reenacted their father's pirate performance on DWTS, and it's hilarious and adorable.
James Van Der Beek's children are closely following his performances on "Dancing with the Stars," and reenacted his latest performance on the dance competition.
The actor's children, Olivia, Joshua, Annabel, and Emilia, aged between 9 and 3, reenacted their father's pirate performance in a home video shared on James' Instagram.
In it, the younger girls, wearing tutu skirts paired with each other, with the older children doing the same.
Their mom, Kimberly, played the soundtrack from the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie, and her children danced with arm and leg movements.
At one point, Joshua said to the actor's wife, "Mom make sure you get me," and she responded, "I gotcha."
In the accompanying caption, James acknowledging his children's attempt wrote, "What you do with all your heart can be contagious," with a heart-shaped emoji.
The "Dawson Creek" star's followers appeared to agree with him, and his DWTS dance partner, Emma Slate, commented,
"Omg! I am obsessed. They are adorable."
James gave the pirate-themed performance during last week's Disney Night on DWTS. The actor and his partner performed the Paso Doble set to "He's a Pirate," by Klaus Badelt; the song formed part of the soundtrack for "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl."
The actor and Slate scored two 9s and an 8 for their performance. Since joining DWTS, the "Pose" star has impressed the judges and fans with his performance, but beyond the show, he has a lot going for him.
James, who also shares, 16-month-old Gwendolyn, with Kimberly, is expecting his sixth child.

Thrilled beyond belief to announce that another little bundle of joy has picked us to be their family. We chose to have our first ultrasound on camera with our #DWTS crew capturing the result - something I NEVER thought we’d ever do... but @vanderkimberly and I have been through three of those first appointments to discover either no heartbeat, or no baby, and she wanted to share this moment. Miscarriage (a word that needs a replacement - nobody failed to “carry”, these things sometimes just happen) is something that people rarely talk about, and often go through in secret. But there needs to be zero shame around it, or around giving yourself the time and space to grieve. We decided to put ourselves out there - not knowing what we’d find - in an effort to chip away at any senseless stigma around this experience and to encourage people who might be going through it to open themselves up to love & support from friends and family when they need it most. Happily, for us - this time- we walked out with tears of joy. #AndThenIDancedAQuickStep. • Pic by @jilliangoulding
