Robin Roberts of GMA Calls Girlfriend by Her Nickname in Cute Video of Them on a Plane with Friends

Robin Roberts leaves fans in awe of her love for her long-time girlfriend, Amber Laign, after she affectionately called her "Sweet Amber" in a new video shared via social media.

The "Good Morning America" anchor recently posted a video of herself and Laign on Instagram. It features the two women in an airplane with notable celebrities but what is much more observable is Roberts' affectionate display of love.

The 58-year-old is holding the camera, and so focused on Laign, who was looking away at their fellow passengers. Right at the time Laign turns around to look at Roberts, she says:

"Hey, sweet Amber."

Laign replies with a bright smile before Roberts' turns her attention to her fellow ABC colleagues.

The trip appears to be a couples-only affair as Amber Laign and Roberts excitedly showed that popular weather anchor, Sam Champion as well as Robert's fellow "Good Morning America" broadcaster, Google Benitez were also present with their respective lovers.

Roberts captioned the post:

"Truly is #ThankfulThursday! We're all together headed for a lil #TulumTranquility and keepin' it #SereneIn2019."

Much like her caption hints at, it appears that the three couples are headed off to vacation at a "serene" location – Tulum.

Fans, however, seemed more taken with the beautiful exchange between Laign and Roberts, as well as the fact that all three couples are together.

Roberts and Laign, who is a massage therapist, are fast becoming one of the most talked-about celebrity couples on the internet thanks to affectionate displays like this.

The couple first went public in 2013 after spending ten years together in secrecy, reports share.

Roberts in 2013 publicly shared insight into her battle with myelodysplastic syndrome, revealed that she was gay, and also introduced Laign as her "long-time" girlfriend. She wrote:

"I am grateful for my entire family, my long-time girlfriend, Amber, and friends as we prepare to celebrate a glorious new year together."

At a recent appearance at the Disney Legends Awards, the gorgeous star explained that Taylor Swift's new song, "Soon You'll Get Better," connects with her on a deeper level because of the cancer battle she went through back then.

It is perhaps Laign's presence at such a rocky phase of Roberts’ life that has made their relationship even stronger.
