Tamela Mann of 'The Manns' Is Praised after Showing Slimmer Curves in Tight Pants Amid Weight Loss

Tamela Mann is on a roll! The singer and actress revealed a few months ago that she lost 40 pounds, and in a recent photo, it appears she might have lost some more. Fans also noticed and are going all out with the thumbs-up.

Tamela has always been open about her and husband David Mann's weight loss struggles. The latter was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2013, so the subject of wellness is crucial to this family.

Earlier this month, Tamela took to Instagram with further proof of her commitment to weight loss and overall wellness. The gospel singer shared a pic of herself to promote her clothing line, but fans were more interested in her slimmer frame.

"I've found myself looking to her to learn how to take better care of my body because she's taken off! She is doing so good!"

"Just freaking gorgeous, Mrs. Tamela Mann," one Instagram user gushed. "You really looking good with your weight loss," chimed in another.

A third fan cheered Tamela on, saying: "Homegirl is losing that weight," while a fourth let the star know just how much of an inspiration she is:

"Glory to God for your weight loss and showing the world your testimony... You are glowing and I’m thinking about ways to do better with nutrition and fitness."

Back in September, Tamela revealed that her weight was down by 40 pounds. At the time, it was only two months after she had major knee replacement surgery and five months after she signed up as WW’s newest ambassador.

WW, formerly Weight Watchers, aims to help people live overall healthier lives as opposed to focusing solely on losing weight.

Tamela told ESSENCE in April that she had trouble sustaining her weight loss in the past and was happy to be taking on WW’s approach:

"I’ve lost weight and gained weight, and lost weight. I’m really excited about the lifestyle change and to be able to have people that you can connect with and who can coach you… I just want to be healthier. I just want to have a healthier lifestyle. That’s why I’m really pushing and wanting to do this, and to encourage other people to do it with me."

Now, not only is Tamela flaunting the results of her health commitment in partnership with WW, but the 53-year-old has also gotten her stepdaughter, Tiffany, to sign up as well.

"Mama has always led by example—she’s a great wife and mother, and an incredible performer," Tiffany told the company website recently. "I've found myself looking to her to learn how to take better care of my body because she's taken off! She is doing so good!"

Tamela has been married to David for 31 years, and the two raised five kids together: David's two daughters from a previous relationship, Tamela and David's son and daughter, and Tamela's niece.

The lovebirds are also grandparents to eight adorable children, and we reckon it must be fulfilling to pass on a legacy of health and wellness.
