Jada Pinkett-Smith Admits on 'Red Table Talk' That She's Had Moments Where She Lost Herself in Her Marriage to Will
Jada Pinkett Smith made some startling revelations about her own marriage during an interview with T.I. and Tiny Harris.
T.I. and Tiny Harris were guests on Jada Pinkett Smith's "Red Table Talk" and the conversation grew increasingly frank, and the two women ended up talking about their marriages.
One thing the two women shared was that they had both fallen into the trap of losing themselves in their marriages, and had to fight to get back their voices.

T.I. AND TINY HARRIS ON "RED TABLE TALK"
The issue that brought T.I. and Tiny onto Jada's "Red Table Talk" was to attempt to clear up the controversy surrounding "Hymengate."
T.I. had commented on his podcast that he took his 18-year-old daughter, Deyjah, to the gynecologist every year to check if she was still a virgin, and the revelation was not well received.
TINY HARRIS SPEAKS OUT ABOUT HER MARRIAGE TROUBLES
They then discussed Harris' marriage trouble, which had twice prompted Tiny to file for divorce. T.I. had cheated on Tiny, she revealed, because she had "found her own voice" - something Jada related to completely. Tiny said:
“It wasn’t what he was used to. He was used to controlling things, having things his way at all times.”
JADA PINKETT SMITH CONFESSES TO MARRIAGE WOES
Jada then explained to Tiny and T.I. that at the beginning of her marriage she had given herself over to her marriage completely - including the decision making. She said:
“This conversation, this problem, is the exact same thing Will and I had to work through.”

Jada revealed that as time went on and she found her whole life revolving around WIll's - including her career - she started to feel resentful.
She admitted that she had relinquished her power to her husband, and then realised that it wasn't working, she wasn't happy and it was damaging her marriage.
Jada and Will worked things out, and are now a glowing example of a happy Hollywood family - a rare thing these days.
JADA PINKETT SMITH AND WILL SMITH'S MARRIAGE
Contrary to what people might imagine, Jada Pinkett Smith didn't want to marry movie star Will Smith - in fact, she cried all the way down the aisle.
She only accepted Will's proposal under pressure from her mom Adrienne, and because she was pregnant with her first child.
They met when Jada auditioned for a role in “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” For Will, it was love at first sight, but Jada was dating someone else. Not long after WIll met and married Sheree Zampino, his first wife and mother of his first son, Trey.
However, Will never forgot Jada, and when he divorced Sheree, he called her up and asked if she was seeing somebody. When she said no, Will replied: “Cool, you’re seeing me now.” And the rest, as they say, is history.
