Rapper Megan Thee Stallion may be making big waves in the music industry, but she's also determined to get her education — even if it means doing both at the same time.

The 24-year-old, as expected, is busy with all her entertainment gigs. Last week, Hollywood Life revealed why she's currently working on completing her higher education.

Her Plan A's

Speaking at the Variety Hitmakers Brunch hosted by Citi in early December, Megan, whose real name is Megan Pete, talked a bit about her family history.

She told the outlet:

"My grandmother was a teacher, and I started when my mom was alive and I feel like I definitely got to see it through."

The "Big Ole Freak" singer further explained that both school and music have equal priority in her life, describing them both as "plan As." She currently attends Texas Southern University.

Billboard reported that Megan was studying health administration last year. However, the "Realer" singer may have changed her degree since then.

As for music career-wise, Megan is focused on getting to the next level and becoming even more successful. One of her hopes is to collaborate with megastar Beyoncé.

Giving back

Earlier this year, Megan also spoke about a project she wanted to pursue for the elderly. The Houston-born rapper is hoping to open an end-of-life care facility.

Inspired by her grandmother who helped take care of her, the "Hot Girl Summer" singer sees it as a way to give back to her community, she told Vulture magazine.

Speaking of "Hot Girl Summer," the phrase created a phenomenon for women last summer, starting a surge of empowerment and pushing self-confidence in women.

Fans of the movement were especially thrilled in August when actress La La Anthony posted a photo of herself with rappers Nicki Minaj and Megan herself in a single shot.

The trio sat on a gray sofa. Anthony was dressed in a pink jumpsuit and sat in between the artists, who both wore yellow outfits with black zebra stripes.

The two rappers both also sported long red hair and pink lips. Indeed, the three women stunned in both looks and attitude in the photo. Beauty and brains are never a bad thing.
