Jeannie Mai’s Boyfriend Jeezy Posts Loving Message to Wish ‘The Real’ Co-host Happy Birthday

Jeannie Mai just celebrated her 41st birthday, and her boyfriend, rapper Jeezy, made sure to congratulate her with a sweet Instagram post. He also surprised her with a special performance of one of her favorite singers.

Jeannie Mai and Jeezy have become one of the most popular celebrity couples in the past months. Fans seem to love their chemistry and the fact that they’re not shy to show off their affection publicly.

BIRTHDAY WISHES

On January 4, Jeezy took to Instagram to congratulate Mai for her birthday with a photo-worthy of a magazine cover.

Although Mai has been vocal about not wanting kids in her life before, she seems to be reconsidering her choices now that she’s dating Jeezy.

In the pic, Jeannie looks stunning wearing a short black dress that put her toned legs on display, paired with black and golden heels, and a golden clutch. She stood on a flight of stairs next to Jeezy, who opted for a sitting pose.

The rapper looked dapper wearing black slacks, a red satin blazer, and dark grey shoes to complete the look.

“Happy G Day Mai G. We gone celebrate all year long, then do it again @thejeanniemai,” Jeezy captioned his post.

FANS’ REACTIONS

Fans of the couple took over the comment section to gush about their attractiveness and also wish the “The Real” co-host a happy birthday.

“Jeezy, I love the way you express your love for your woman. You guys make a beautiful couple,” wrote one user.

A BIG SURPRISE

Jeezy took the chance to surprise Mai with a birthday celebration on their New Year’s Eve party in Miami a few days earlier.

He took the mic to sing happy birthday but then cut himself off and said “I can’t sing, but I got somebody to come sing ‘Happy Birthday.'”

That was the cue for R&B singer Tevin Campbell to make his big entrance, leaving Mai dumbfounded and surprised at her boyfriend’s gift. Campbell sang his hit song “Can We Talk” to Mai, while she belted out the lyrics hugging Jeezy.

“@Jeezy baby. Thank you for the bestest birthday gift….of you in my life,” Jeannie captioned an Instagram post to show her gratitude.

THEIR RELATIONSHIP

Jeannie and Jeezy have been dating for almost a year, but they only made their relationship public last August, when they attended the SnoBall Gala to raise funds for Jeezy’s non-profit, Street Dreamz.

Their romance comes almost two years after Jeannie’s messy divorce from Freddy Harteis, with whom she was married for ten years.

“We both went through enough in our life to connect on the understanding that love should feel safe, honest, and pure,” Mai told People of Jeezy. And continued:

“Immediately, that was a magnetic attraction. We are very attracted to each other’s passions to serve. So because we have a mutual joy of having a purpose, we’re going to find a way to do that together.”

Although Mai has been vocal about not wanting kids in her life before, she seems to be reconsidering her choices now that she’s dating Jeezy. When asked about the possibility last November, she gave a vague answer.

“You’re going to have to ask me when I’m not ovulating,” she joked. “I don’t know what I’m saying right now on that topic. It’s safer to just wait until this day had passed.”
