BRAD PITT'S JOKE MADE JENNIFER SMILE

The 56-year-old actor was nominated for best supporting actor in a motion picture for his role in "Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood." Stepping out to accept his award at Los Angeles' Beverly Hilton, the father of six dished out loads of humor, which captivated his ex-wife. He joked:

"Let's be honest, it was a difficult part. The guy who gets high takes his shirt off and doesn't get on with his wife. It's a big stretch. Big."

The speech drew a cheer from "The Morning Show" actress who was married to the SAG award-winner from 2000 to 2005.

THE FORMER LOVEBIRDS REMAIN FRIENDS

When the list of nominees for this year's awards first hit the media, the joint appearance of the names of the former power couple raised brows as many expected an awkward atmosphere between them.

The joke drew a similar reaction from Jennifer, who he referred to as a good friend while sharing plans to catch up with her afterward.

However, a source close to the stars clarified that the two have been on good terms since the divorce, which left no room for a tense moment between them.

JENNIFER'S SUCCESSFUL MARRIAGE TO BRAD PITT

The 50-year-old has been open about her previous marriage to the "Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood" actor. The actress once revealed:

"My marriages, they've been very successful in my personal opinion. And when they came to an end, it was a choice."

MOMENTS BETWEEN THE PAIR

Earlier this month, the pair ran into each other during the Golden Globes Awards, where the 56-year-old bagged the award for best supporting actor, while the "Dumplin" star was nominated for best actress in a television series drama for her role in "The Morning Show."

During his award speech, the actor also joked about dating, implying that he left his mom at home because it would be awkward to have people thinking they were an item.
