Country singer Miranda Lambert handles her audience very well by captivating them with her voice and moves. However, the star recently revealed that she sometimes enjoyed not being the center of attention.

During an interview, Lambert confessed to “Nashville Scene” that she was just as happy being a part of a group instead of being solo all the time. When she isn’t performing on her own, the country singer is part of the Pistol Annies.

The three-woman band includes Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley. Speaking about touring with her band, Lambert admitted: “It's awesome for me when we do, because Lone Star Annie is a lot more fun than Miranda Lambert.”

“I get to be a side person for a while”

She further confessed that whenever Monroe and Presley joined her during her shows, “it's comforting because I get to be a side person for a while." The Pistol Annies aren’t doing so bad in the country music scene.

Last year November, Lambert also released her own solo album called “Wildcard.” The record follows her double-disc album titled “The Weight of These Wings.”

For her latest album, the musician made sure that she kept things upbeat and “fun.” Lambert commissioned Jay Joyce to produce her current work.

The album’s genre leaned more on the country-pop side with songs like “It All Comes Out in the Wash,” “Bluebird,” and “Tequila Does.” Lambert is currently on her “Wildcard Tour” with Cody Johnson and LANCO.

To celebrate the Pistol Annies Grammy Award nomination the group attended Nashville's annual pre-Grammy celebration. The event was held on January 7.

The country singer is also up for another Grammy Award for Best Country Song. The nomination is for the debut single from “Wildcard,” called "It All Comes Out in the Wash."

Lambert wrote the song with the Love Junkies Hillary Lindsey, Lori McKenna, and Liz Rose and the track was inspired, in part, by her own childhood.
