Kathie Lee Gifford Reacts to Seeing 'Today' Co-Host Hoda Kotb's Engagement Ring for the First Time
Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford finally had a reunion after the "Today Show" host's recent engagement. Supposedly, tears were shed upon witnessing Kotb's diamond rock.
On Thursday, Kathie Lee Gifford visited the "Today Show" for a sitdown with hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager. The 66-year-old was Kotb's co-host up until last year.
Since leaving, though, Gifford hasn't seen Kotb following her engagement to longtime partner Joel Schiffman. When she saw the ring, her reaction was priceless. The post is found below.

Kotb and Gifford reunite in joy
In two photos shared by "Today's" Instagram account, Gifford appears to be in awe of the diamond rock her friend received from her 61-year-old fiancé.
The first photo showed her slightly bent over as she holds onto Kotb's ring finger on her left hand. From the side, we see a smile on Kotb's face. Gifford has her mouth in an "Ooh" shape.

Gifford can't get over the ring
The next slide showed the tv personality looking up at her former co-host — still holding onto the ring. Based on the caption, Gifford choked up at one point upon seeing the jewelry.
Fans were delighted to see the two together again. Unfortunately, though, Gifford's time on the show also included some sad moments in addition to the joy.
Gifford shares her dark times
Speaking to Gifford and Hager, the tv presenter, singer, and songwriter shared the pain she went through after losing her husband Frank in 2015 and having her children move away.
The "Model Behavior" actress spoke of the "crippling" loneliness she felt as she lived at home with just her dogs. She's since moved out of her Connecticut home and moved to Nashville.

Kotb's proposal story
Meanwhile, Kotb, 55, is also experiencing a considerable change in her life with her engagement and her two adopted daughters. Kotb shared the heartwarming story of how Schiffman, 61, proposed in November.
After shocking her co-hosts on the "Today Show," Kotb told them that Schiffman proposed on the beach during one of the couple's getaways. He "said some beautiful things," she noted.
Then, Schiffman got down on one knee and asked Kotb to be his wife. The two have been living together for over three years already. We can't wait to see them tie the knot together.
