MILAN PIQUÉ MEBARAK
Shakira gave birth to Milan on January 22, 2013, in Barcelona, Spain, where the family had taken up residence.
The award-winning musician can often be seen bringing Milan to the recording studio or even to film "The Voice," where he was the center of attention.
In September 2012, Shakira and Gerard announced they were pregnant with their first child, as reported by Hola!. Back then, the "Whenever, Wherever" singer showed her happiness for turning into a mother along with Gerard.
SASHA PIQUÉ MEBARAK
The family welcomed a new member, Sasha, on January 30, 2015. Sasha has become Milan's partner in adventures.
After he was born, Shakira and Gerard shared the great news on her official website. The couple said in a statement:
"We are happy to announce the birth of Sasha Pique Mebarak, son of Shakira Mebarak and Gerard Pique, born January 29 at 9:54 p.m., in Barcelona."
"WARRIOR"
The statement added that the name of the new baby is of Greek and Russian descent that means "defender of mankind" and "warrior."
She came from a painful separation with Argentine lawyer Antonio de la Rúa.
Throughout the years, Shakira has learned a lot from her sons. One such thing being multitasking. The proud mother once said:
"Each one keeps me on my toes and forces me to educate myself further as I'm working to educate them along with their teachers."
Before Shakira met the father of her children, Gerard, who is exactly ten years her junior, she came from a painful separation with Argentine lawyer Antonio de la Rúa.
Moving on, Shakira experienced uncontrolled happiness in her life in 2010 when she met the football player on the set of her "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" music video.
