The Atlanta rapper launched into a tirade on Instagram, slamming Lil Nas X, who came out as gay last year. "Welp, Guess I won't be winning a GRAMMY…If this what I gotta wear," he began in the now-deleted post.

The 20-year-old would later share a hilarious meme trolling the older rapper's resentment for gay men eating mozzarella sticks.

Pastor Troy then went on to rant about how "they" had an agenda to rob black men of their masculinity, recalling how Applebee's recently had some men "kissing and laughing eating mozzarella sticks."

A Twitter user shared screenshots of Pastor Troy's post, including a picture of Lil Nas X in his pink outfit that the rapper had attached. When the "Old Town Road" rapper came across the message, he retweeted with a response.

"[Expletive] I look good in that pic on god," the genre-redefining artist wrote. Tons of social media users replied to the post, expressing differing views on the controversy.

"Just because he's against homosexuality doesn't make him homophobic," one tweeter said in support of Pastor Troy. "It just means he doesn't agree with it. Please carefully choose words and don't try to make a hate monger of him."

Another person, however, pointed out that music icons like Liberace and Elton John received similar criticism as Lil Nas X. "The only thing you doing @LilNasX is giving the black community an opportunity to be themselves. Gay or Straight, everyone deserves true freedom," they added.
