For the iconic ceremony which was held in the early hours of today, Porter stunned in a dramatic gold ensemble that didn’t fail to turn heads as seen on his Instagram page.

As reported by Page Six, the “Pose” star was the definition of “ROYALTY” in a custom Deacon Couture look that featured a feathered sleeveless gold top paired with a printed ball skirt.

The 50-year-old rocked a pair of gilded lace-up heels by Jimmy Choo and finished off his look with Atelier Swarovski jewelry on his hands.

With the right attitude and pizzazz, Billy was undeniably the center of attraction on the red carpet.

Porter sure delivered on his promise to break jaws at the Academy Awards as he was reportedly heard teasing his look last week when he said:

“I have something cooking for the Oscars. It’s a surprise. I can’t tell any of you. Just you wait.”

While speaking about his outfit to the New York Times, Porter’s stylist, Sam Ratelle explained that the actor’s apparel was inspired by Kensington Palace, specifically the gold-and Wood-adorned Cupola Room.

For him and Ratelle, it was “all about royalty” and that was exactly what the fans got on the D-day.

As noted by Harper’s Bazaar, Ratelle toured the Palace in 2019 and when he got to the Cupola room, it inspired an idea for one of Porter’s custom looks for 2020.

However, the Cupola Room wasn’t the only correlation the stunning outfit had to the blue bloods as the publication notes that royal-favorite designer Giles Deacon was responsible for bringing it to life.

Deacon, who is the brain behind many of Kate Middleton’s famous looks, was responsible for designing her sister, Pippa Middleton’s wedding gown.

Fox News recalled that Billy established himself as a worthy walker of red carpets last year when he made his Oscar debut.
