Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton are taking a break from their royal duties in order to spend time with their three children during their school vacation.

Prince William and Kate Middleton had a busy start to the year when it came to their royal duties. The couple has done everything from hosting a UK-Africa Summit, done a tour of the UK and other engagements in Ireland.

It is safe to say the Cambridge's have their hands full, so it is only natural that they would need a break from their cross-country commitments.

It is reported, in February, their schedule will slow down as they have planned to take some time off from their work as royals, to spend time with their children.

William and Kate's vacation will coincide with their children's school vacation. Princess Charlotte and Prince George are both attending school in London at the prestigious Thomas Battersea school, where their school holiday runs from February 17 to February 21.

According to E!, it has not been revealed where they will be vacationing, it is speculated that they will travel to one of their country homes.

Kate is a lover of the outdoors and has been promoting the benefits that playing outside has to children's development. So it is likely that they will engage in lots of outdoor activities.

An island getaway is another favorite destination for William and his family.  A source told Closer Weekly that George and Charlotte were particularly fond of a trip they took in 2019, to a private island in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, it was revealed:

"George, Charlotte and Louis love visiting the island and due to the privacy regulations it's one of the few places where they can switch off and have the space and freedom to spend quality time as a family."

Reportedly, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's departure from the royal family has put a larger burden on the couple, who has been forced to fill in for the void they have left in the monarchy, a source said:

"The Cambridges are busier than ever since Harry and Meghan left the U.K. You'd think their hectic schedule would put strain on the marriage, but it's actually brought them closer together."

The source said

Kate and William's

bond has only got stronger because they have been supporting each other and working well as a team, amid the drama surrounding Harry and Meghan's departure.

It was reported, although William is not as outspoken about his personal struggles as Harry; however, the older royal had been confiding a lot in his wife, who has been his greatest support.
