Last year, fans and viewers of "The Voice" learned that Nicki Jonas would be taking a red chair alongside returning judges Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend.

Later on, the singer had stopped by the set of the "Ellen DeGeneres Show," where he seemed hesitant to reveal any details on his big news.

In light of that, Today revealed that a new promo showed that the singer-songwriter was ready to make a big first impression.

The one-minute video, which was uploaded to YouTube, kicked off with the three members of the show's panel showing up for the first day of work on season 18.

Soon after Blake arrived, John wondered aloud, "Where is the new guy?"

At that point, the crew gets distracted by the sound of a twin-engine aircraft that caused them to look up to the sky with Kelly commenting that his entrance was a "bit dramatic."

The trio continued to observe Nick until he made a secret agent-worthy parachute drop.

The "Jumanji: The Next Level" actor then went on to remove his jumpsuit to reveal a tuxedo, while some man-of-mystery music played in the background.

Yahoo noted that while Nick's superfan, Blake, thought it was a good look; John believed that the new guy was a bit "overdressed."

Nick took things up another notch when he ripped off his tux, which was apparently a tearaway. At that point, a curious Kelly asked if it was about to be a "Magic Mike moment."

Ignoring Kelly's question, Nick stripped down to the casual premiere night duds, which many considered as a sign of the exciting things that would occur during the show's new season.

After his theatrics, Daily Mail reported that the "Like It's Christmas" crooner leaped onstage to give a contestant a singing tutorial and was even considered to be a threat by John.

Nick had first teased about his appearance as a judge on "The Voice" back in October 2019 by tweeting "big news coming," according to a report by Today.

Later on, the singer had stopped by the set of the "Ellen DeGeneres Show," where he seemed hesitant to reveal any details on his big news.

Ellen had, however, ignored his reluctance and played a clip that showed Blake making the big reveal for him.
