Brandy Is a Proud & Loving Mom as She Shares Photo of Beautiful 17-Year-Old Daughter Sy’rai

American singer Brandy showed that she is a proud and loving mother as she gushed over her beautiful teenage daughter, Sy'rai in a recent Instagram post.

Brandy Rayana Norwood's daughter, Sy'rai Iman Smith, is a beauty to behold. Born on June 16, 2002, to movie producer, Robert “Big Bert” Smith, the 17-year-old gorgeous lady makes her mama happy every day.

The songwriter had documented her pregnancy and delivery on the MTV reality TV show "Brandy: Special Delivery," back in 2002. Today, that baby girl has become her mother's shining light

The Grammy Award-winning singer poured out her emotions in an Instagram post where she shared Sy'rai's latest picture.

In the picture, Sy'rai was a complete lookalike to her gorgeous mother. In the post, the mother of one shared some emotional words:

" My beautiful daughter @syraismith ? Brightest light in my life. Angel no disguise."

While the teenager might look soft and gentle, she knows when to take a stance for a good cause, especially when it comes to helping young ladies like herself.

Teenagers, especially girls, can go through a lot as they grow up. In this age of instant photo sharing, it is easy for young girls to believe only a particular body shape qualifies as beautiful.

The then 16-year-old had gone on a shopping spree courtesy of her uncle Ray J and auntie Princess love.

In an Instagram video shared by her multiple award-winning mother, Sy'rai made a persuasive speech urging young girls to love themselves for who they are, despite what anyone might say.

The young motivator revealed she wanted to keep a slim figure in the past in hopes that people would like her better. Thankfully, she learned that what was on the inside was more important than physical appearance. She told the girls:

"Don’t change because other people are saying, ‘You’re a big girl, you’re fat, you’re this, you’re that.’ Don’t change because of what they say, change because you want to change."

The “Brokenhearted” singer, who uploaded the video, was incredibly proud of her daughter. There were no words to describe her joy over her daughter, who had developed a healthy mindset at such a young age.

While the singer's daughter might be spending a lot of time with her mum, she still knows how to have fun and hang out with family members.

In an Instagram post during her daughter's 16th birthday, Brandy posted a photo of her daughter holding some shopping bags from Gucci and Balenciaga. She told her not to get used to being 16
