She further stated that the experience shooting the "Respect" film, which is a true-life story of renowned singer, Aretha Franklin, was all shades of awesome. In her words:

"That time when @marlonwayans wanted us to sing a duet!...@jasonmichaelwebb so graciously on the keys. We had so many great times during the @respectmovie production."

The biopic showcases the life of the legendary Queen of soul music; from the genesis of her career as a church singer to when she hit stardom worldwide.

Aretha kicked the bucket two years ago, after battling pancreatic cancer for a while. Before then, her talent was not only recognized by her captivated audience, but by the world at large. At a Grammy Awards ceremony, Franklin was a recipient of more than 17 awards.

Aretha involved herself in the film before her death.

After her passing, a press release announced her eligibility for a posthumous honor following her immense contributions over the years to the American culture and sound.

"It's officially a wrap on @respectmovie...words can't express how grateful I am to be chosen by the Queen herself, and to live out yet another dream!"

She concluded by saying it was an honor to accept the Queen's request then tagged her the one and only Queen.

Aretha involved herself in the film before her death, and the project employed the most exceptional talents, such as Mary J Blige, Forest Whitaker, Queen Latifah, Marc Maron, Tate Donovan, among others.

So it is expected to be a superb production with attention to details and a comprehensive portrayal of the life of the deceased.

It is scheduled to drop in October, and it features an array of Aretha's songs like "Respect" and "You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman."

Apart from the film, Jennifer Hudson starred in, another life portrayal of the star is the National Geographic series titled "Genius" which Cynthia Erivo, a Nigerian-British native featured as Aretha..
