Naviyd held up his trophy as he posed for a photo with his mother which she shared on her Instagram. Tameka leaned close to her son and put her arm around him for the snap. She scribbled the words “winner is…” on the photo along with the text “Poetry Contest Winner” below.

Tameka revealed in her caption that it was National Sons Day a day earlier. But she explains, “EVERYday is Sons Day for me.” Referring to herself as a “#BoyMom,” she proceeds to announce her Naviyd’s big win and added that he won it reciting his poem in an English cockney accent.

But that's not the only good news Tameka shared. She also revealed Naviyd met his crush, Billie Eilish though she didn’t disclose how. Instead, she thanked Naviyd for being “so incredible always” before saying she didn’t need one single day to commemorate her boys. “Every SINGLE day is #Sonday,” she reiterated.

Tameka and Usher’s relationship began to sour towards the end of their marriage. Usher admitted to Oprah Winfrey that he felt lost and just “wanted out.”

Tameka shares two sons with Usher who she was married to from 2007 to 2009. Naviyd is the younger one. His older brother, Usher “Cinco” Raymond V is 12.

The brothers live with their father who gained primary custody of them after a 3-year court battle which ended in 2012. Tameka tried to reverse this after a swimming pool accident involving Usher V occurred under Usher’s care the following year. But the judge found no reason to remove primary custody from Usher.

"I really felt like we were friends. She made us enemies in a way that I could never understand," he explained.

Today, Usher and Tameka appear to be at a better place. On Usher’s birthday in October, Tameka greeted him in a birthday post. She also wrote

“Many don’t realize that it’s always love even when it looks like hate and that you will forever remain in my soul circle..”

Usher celebrated his birthday with their sons. In his IG, he revealed they made tacos together.
