Cher, Madonna & 11 Other Stars Who Have Postponed or Canceled Events Due to Coronavirus

Amid the spread of the deadly coronavirus around the world, several celebrities have chosen to either cancel or postpone events.

Since the outbreak of the coronavirus in January, celebrities and other event holders have become prompted to either cancel or postpone slated events.

As it turned out, television shows have also been affected by the spread of coronavirus.

Cher became the latest star to hold off on hosting her show after she shared a tweet that explained that the health of her fans was vital to her.

The Goddess of Pop's tweet came after Madonna, through her official website announced that her shows which had been slated for March 10 & 11 march had gotten canceled.

The site noted that fans could get refunds at point of purchase for the final two Madame X performances, which had been previously rescheduled to those dates.

Miley Cyrus had also been moved to cancel her Australian tour and had announced the change through Twitter where she expressed her disappointment.

"to not be there, but I have to do what is right to protect the health and safety of my band and crew."

Even Magnolia had been forced to cancel their Spring at the Silos which featured Rooftop Picnic and evening concerts.

To that effect, they had released a statement that mentioned their devastation at sharing the news with their vendors, performers, and attendees.

Vulture added that the music band Green Day had also canceled several planned tour dates in countries affected by coronavirus including Singapore, Bangkok, Manila, Taipei, Hong Kong, Seoul, Osaka, and Tokyo.

As at the time of the report, the band was yet to state new plans for the next round of their tour.

USA Today also reported that other musicians including Mariah Carey, Pearl Jam, Carlos Santana, Neil Young, Zac Brown Band, Ciara, Khalid, BTS, Avril Lavigne, and Pentatonix have also announced the postponement or cancelation of their tours.

As it turned out, television shows have also been affected by the spread of coronavirus as the site revealed that production for the CBS show "Survivor" had been delayed by two months.

In the same light, Warner Bros. has temporarily put a hold on production on "Riverdale" in Vancouver after a team member came in contact with someone who tested positive for the coronavirus.
