Daily Mail: Meghan Is Not Taking Any Chances Amid Coronavirus Pandemic & Has Staff on Strict Hygiene Protocol

According to a source that spoke to “Daily Mail,” Duchess Meghan is taking precautions amid the coronavirus outbreak. Apparently, a close friend has revealed that the royal is self-isolating.

Duchess Meghan, 38, her husband Prince Harry, 35, and the son Archie, 10-months-old, are allegedly isolating themselves in Canada. The young couple was said to be “observing the quarantine.”

An insider shared that the Duchess confided to friends that her husband felt “helpless” and is “concerned” about his family. The source claimed that Harry was worried about the Queen and his father, Prince Charles, catching the coronavirus.

Meghan is taking precautions

The insider further alleged: “Meghan said they are grateful, especially Harry, that they could spend time with his family before all this insanity began.” Harry reportedly contacted his grandmother and father and urged them to take extra precautions and to stay safe.

Wear latex gloves at all times

The Duchess was said to be taking her own precautions to protect her own family. The informant claimed that Meghan required “everyone on their team” to follow strict hygiene protocols.

This included the staff that was responsible for buying their groceries and running their errands. The staff members have allegedly been told to “wear latex gloves at all times.”

The apparent friend also said only a selected number of people were able to interact with the Duchess and her family. Besides taking care of themselves, Meghan and Harry are reportedly working alongside experts to figure out how they can help the public during this trying time.

“After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution. We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen. It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment. We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages. This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity. We look forward to sharing the full details of this exciting next step in due course, as we continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties. Until then, please accept our deepest thanks for your continued support.” - The Duke and Duchess of Sussex For more information, please visit sussexroyal.com (link in bio) Image © PA

Meghan & Harry want to do their bit

The couple, who lives at a Vancouver Island waterfront mansion, is said to believe the pandemic is also a mental health crisis. The friend claimed that the pair felt “compelled to help.”

Working with a mental health organization

Meghan is apparently working hand-in-hand with a mental health non-profit to create an online support system for the most vulnerable. The platform would service people like new mothers who are suffering from postpartum depression.

Sussex’s back in Canada just in time

A royal source recently revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were “taking government advice” with regards to the coronavirus. Harry and Meghan returned to Canada from the UK just in time as the country chose to close its borders to non-citizens and non-residents.
