According to a source that spoke to “Daily Mail,” Duchess Meghan is taking precautions amid the coronavirus outbreak. Apparently, a close friend has revealed that the royal is self-isolating.

Duchess Meghan, 38, her husband Prince Harry, 35, and the son Archie, 10-months-old, are allegedly isolating themselves in Canada. The young couple was said to be “observing the quarantine.”

An insider shared that the Duchess confided to friends that her husband felt “helpless” and is “concerned” about his family. The source claimed that Harry was worried about the Queen and his father, Prince Charles, catching the coronavirus.

Meghan is taking precautions

The insider further alleged: “Meghan said they are grateful, especially Harry, that they could spend time with his family before all this insanity began.” Harry reportedly contacted his grandmother and father and urged them to take extra precautions and to stay safe.

The Duchess was said to be taking her own precautions to protect her own family. The informant claimed that Meghan required “everyone on their team” to follow strict hygiene protocols.

Sussex staff wear latex gloves

This included the staff that was responsible for buying their groceries and running their errands. The staff members have allegedly been told to “wear latex gloves at all times.”

The apparent friend also said only a selected number of people were able to interact with the Duchess and her family. Besides taking care of themselves, Meghan and Harry are reportedly working alongside experts to figure out how they can help the public during this trying time.

The couple, who lives at a Vancouver Island waterfront mansion, is said to believe the pandemic is also a mental health crisis. The friend claimed that the pair felt “compelled to help.”

Working with a mental health organization

Meghan is apparently working hand-in-hand with a mental health non-profit to create an online support system for the most vulnerable. The platform would service people like new mothers who are suffering from postpartum depression.

A royal source recently revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were “taking government advice” with regards to the coronavirus. Harry and Meghan returned to Canada from the UK just in time as the country chose to close its borders to non-citizens and non-residents.
