Interestingly, in the article, he was described as the number one football prospect in the state of Ohio. It's overwhelming to realize that as a junior, he caught 16 passes for 1200 yards.

That's enough reason to imply that the NBA star is a talented multi-sport athlete. According to LeBron, his friend sent the newspaper article to him, after his son bowled over at the sight of it.

LeBron, who was nostalgic about it, revealed that he wanted to play football in his senior year but was bullied by a few of his teammates. In his words:

"60 receptions, 1200 yards and 16 touchdowns my Junior year at WR. Men Lie, Women Lie, Numbers Don't. Didn't even play my senior year."

He's however, glad he chose basketball, but if LeBron could record such a tremendous success as a junior, then imagine the height he would have attained by now if he had gone on with football.

Years back, James revealed that he suffered a wrist injury during an AAU basketball game, which caused him to focus on his future in basketball solely.

He has ever since been committed to the sport and has become an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association.

During his recent interview with NBC Sports, he said, "Hey, I've got to keep all my options open, man. But right now I'll tell you one thing: I don't want to go nowhere besides be here, baby. Be a Laker for the rest of my life."

In another interview, James explained that it is his responsibility to make his team, LA Lakers, successful. He continued by stating how much he needs to stand up for his teammates who look up to him and sees him as their leader.

LeBron's achievements as a basketball star prove that he is passionate about the game. He has built a reputation over the years and isn't thinking of being somewhere else.
