TMZ: Kobe Bryant's Wife Vanessa Asks Court to Fast-Track Petition to Update Late NBA Legend's Trust Amid COVID-19 Scare
Vanessa Bryant has picked herself up ad is working hard to ensure the protection of herself and her children in the wake of her husband, Kobe Bryant's death.
According to a recent report from TMZ, the widow has been hard at work to modify the late basketball star’s trust to include Capri, their last daughter.

Per the report, Vanessa has filed with a court to appoint a guardian ad litem for Bianka and Natalia Bryant, and another guardian for Capri.
The report adds that Vanessa is hoping to get things done quickly as the coronavirus has affected courts too. She’s reportedly hoping to be done with all filings and procedures quickly as she doesn’t know how long the courts will be open.
A separate report on the issue from ET Online confirmed that Vanessa is looking to modify Kobe’s trust to include Capri.
The news medium added that Kobe created the trust in 2003, and he has amended the trust several times to include each of his children after their birth.
However, he amended the trust last in 2017, and given that Vanessa gave birth to Capri just last year, the little girl isn’t a part of the trust.
The effects of Kobe’s death remain as Vanessa continues to mourn.
Kobe died in a helicopter crash late in January with his first daughter, Gianna. His death rocked the entire world, with everyone paying tributes and commemorating his impact on the game of basketball and the world at large.
As expected, Vanessa has mourned the death of her husband and daughter harder than anyone else. Just this month, she showed her appreciation to a fan who had a picture of Kobe and Gianna tattooed on his calf.
Regardless, she’s also been supportive of those who have been with her through this difficult time. Earlier this month, she shared an Instagram snap of Kobe’s older sister — Sharia Washington — with Bianka.
Vanessa shared the picture in commemoration of Sharia’s birthday, captioning it, “Happy birthday, Ria. I love you.”
Mourning aside, financial planning is still a vital part of being a parent, and it’s admirable that Vanessa is staying proactive about adding Capri to Kobe’s trust.
Given how extensive the COVID-19 outbreak and its effects could be, sorting things out as soon as possible is the priority right now.
