Lady Gaga Opens up about Having Clinical Depression
Lady Gaga recently talked about her clinical depression in a new cover story for Paper. The pop star also discussed her forthcoming album, "Chromatica."
"I have clinical depression," the "Stupid Love" singer, 33, told the magazine. "There's something going on in my brain where the dopamine and serotonin are not firing the same way, and I can't get there."
When it comes to writing her new music, Gaga explained that it originated from intuition on certain days she was going to die. With her upcoming album, the multi-awarded singer said that she wanted something that "forces people to rejoice even in their saddest moments."

"CHROMATICA"
"I have bad days, I have good days. Yeah, I live in Chromatica; it took a minute to get here," she said, "but that doesn't mean I don't remember what happened."
As reported by PEOPLE, Gaga talked about mental health during a candid conversation with Oprah Winfrey in January as part of Oprah's 2020 Vision Tour stop in Fort Lauderdale.
The multi-talented artist revealed that at 19 years old, she developed PTSD subsequent to being sexually assaulted. According to her, she never dealt with it at first.
A SURVIVOR
Now, Gaga said she wants to share what she's found out about processing negative encounters in her art. She added that she is a survivor and that she's going to impart them to the world and make it a better place.
In 2017, the "Bad Romance" singer was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. According to PEOPLE, it's a "chronic condition that renders her full body in pain during periods of stress."
Recently, Gaga spent some quality time with Polansky amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Gaga is currently in a relationship with Michael Polansky, an entrepreneur and investor. A source recently revealed to Entertainment Tonight that she's head over heels for her boyfriend.
The singer has been linked to Polansky since December. Last February, the "A Star Is Born" actress broke off her engagement to talent agent Christian Carino.
Gaga hasn't been shy about sharing PDA snaps with Polansky. The loved-up couple were spending so much time together, and she even finally decided to post on her personal Instagram page to make their relationship official.
Recently, Gaga spent some quality time with Polansky amid the coronavirus pandemic. She took to Instagram to share a photograph of the pair holding hands.
In her post, Gaga said that they were playing cards and video games to pass the time. She also said that they were taking care of themselves.
Gaga was first spotted with Polansky in December 2019, as reported by US Weekly. They were attending a New Year's Eve celebration in Las Vegas at the time.
