TMZ: Jennifer Lopez's Ex-Boyfriend David Cruz Has Passed Away at the Age of 51

Famous singer and actress, Jennifer Lopez lost her former boyfriend, 51-year-old David Cruz, whom she dated for ten years, to a heart disease in Mount Sinai Hospital, Manhattan.

David and Jennifer enjoyed ten years as lovers. Their relationship started during their high school days when Jennifer was 15, and her boyfriend, 16.

The pair stopped being lovers when the actress's career picked up, though they attended a few functions together and were seemingly the best couple during their hay days.

David's death was caused by heart disease, and the news came from the medical examiner's office in Mount Sinai Hospital, Manhattan. His long time partner, Isla, opened up about her hurt and had nothing but good things to say about the deceased. According to her:

"He was kind and loving. He helped raise his stepson, who is now in the Marines. He loved the Yankees and Knicks. He loved going to the theatre with me."

Isla also talked about the most enjoyable moment in their relationship including how the deceased managed to make her and the kids a priority. As a family, they often spent quality time together and practiced a ritual known as "family date night."

At the moment, the mother of two is engaged to a former New York Yankees player, Alex Rodriguez, who is seemingly head over heels for her. To celebrate one year of their engagement, Alex took to the gram to serenade his woman with the sweetest of words. Under the adorable upload, he wrote:

"One year ago...I got down on one knee and asked you a question...you said yes. Jennifer, every moment with you is a blessing..."

After this gesture from her man, the mother of two mentioned that she looks forward to having the best times with him. Though they recently celebrated a year of their engagement, the couple have been together long before getting engaged.
