HOPING TO BRING PEOPLE HOPE

An orthopedic surgery resident, he decided to sing along to his fellow doctor, Dr. William Robinson, who played the piano of the iconic song. The pair decided to upload the video in hopes of providing people with hope and comfort, especially with widespread social distancing happening. He said:

"We decided to post it as the quarantine had kinda hit its stride and people were inside and scared and if nothing else, stir crazy - looking for some hope and comfort."

FACING COVID-19 TOGETHER

Posting the video on Instagram, which has since then garnered more than 50,000 likes, Dr. Francois wrote a lengthy note that stated the harsh reality that the frontliners protecting people from the Coronavirus are currently facing. He adds that in the next few months, the world's health care system will be tested.

However, through it all, he acknowledged that the only way frontliners will get through this, is if they unite as one - be it if you're a nurse, doctor, research scientist, politician, Uber eats driver, cashier, factory worker, etc.

"There is something beautiful about a collective struggle, and that beauty in what we are facing today is that the only way to overcome this pandemic is for us to all come together as one."

USING MUSIC TO BRING COMFORT

Just like the doctor, people from all over the world have used music to try and cope with the current pandemic. As they do their part by staying at home to curb the spread of the virus, they've been trying to keep other people company by singing and posting it on the internet, or even singing in their balconies as they are joined in by their neighbors.

One particular celebrity who decided to serenade his fans is Tim McGraw, who shared himself singing "My Love" by Lionel Richie. He made sure to let everyone know that he was thinking about them at a time like this.
