Katy Perry Reveals Gender of the Baby She's Expecting with Orlando Bloom

"American Idol" judge Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom made a creamy mess of things as they had fun revealing the sex of their baby - whom the couple can't wait to welcome this summer.

Katy Perry has another creative reveal under the belt after sharing the sex of her and fiancé Orlando Bloom's baby with followers.

The singer first shared news of her pregnancy with fans by showing off her baby bump at the end of the music video to her new song "Never Worn White" on March 5.

Breaking the news to her family involved custom wine bottle labels Katy had printed; however, her mom caught on before she could send them out. Now, with the reveal of their baby's sex, the couple came up with another creative way to share.

On Friday, Katy took to social media with a picture of husband-to-be Orlando as he grinned for the camera. But it's the caption rendered an explanation for the pink cream all over Orlando's face, as Katy simply wrote, "It's a girl."

The couple is "excited and happy" for the arrival of their baby girl, and Katy is reportedly "more cautious" now that she's pregnant - especially during the coronavirus pandemic.

Orlando returned to the US from Europe last month after the production of his show "Carnival Row" temporarily got halted, but according to a source that spoke with PEOPLE, the actor is in good health, as is Katy, and added:

"They will spend time at home together and monitor the situation. They have no plans to work for now and will instead lay low.”

The pandemic also put their wedding plans on hold, as Katy and Orlando planned on tying the knot in Japan early in the summer.

Katy was reportedly "really excited" about walking down the aisle pregnant surrounded by 150 guests to share in their happy day, but that will have to wait, as a source added:

“They were both so elated that all the wedding details were finally coming together, but they are hitting pause because of coronavirus.”

During a previous interview, Katy Perry shared that she feels ready for motherhood after doing the work to "get ready," and that now is the perfect time for her and Orlando to start their family.

Even though it will be Katy's first child, Orlando already has a nine-year-old son Flynn with his ex-wife, Miranda Kerr.
