Kenny Edmonds AKA Babyface Reveals He and His Family Tested Positive for COVID-19 but Recovered

Babyface shared the good news of his family's recovery from COVID-19 as he marked his 62nd birthday. The singer admitted it the illness was "incredibly scary."

Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds revealed he and his family tested positive for COVID-19 as he thanked his fans for their birthday greetings.

The singer surprised his social media followers with his health update and added that they’ve recovered and tested negative since.

Babyface turned 62 on April 10 and was thankfully healed of COVID-19 by the time. He was also grateful to those who extended their birthday wishes when he posted his message of thanks along with the good news of his family’s recovery.

Babyface is currently married to Nicole Pattenburg who’s a close friend of Janet Jackson and her former backup dancer too. The couple has a daughter, Peyton who was born in 2008.

"I feel so blessed to be able to celebrate another birthday. I tested positive for Covid19, as did my family,” he had written. “It's an incredibly scary thing to go through my friends. I'm happy to report we have now tested negative and are on our way back to full health.”

Along with the good news, the singer made the special announcement that he was collaborating with Teddy Riley for a show on IG Live on April 18. “Get ready for a night of groove and love,” he said, adding that the invitation to perform was extended to him by Swiss Beatz and Timbaland in what is dubbed as a “Celebration of Black Music Excellence.”

Babyface is currently married to Nicole Patenburg who’s a close friend of Janet Jackson and her former backup dancer too. The couple has a daughter, Peyton who was born in 2008. Six years later, Babyface and Nicole tied the knot.

Apart from Peyton, Babyface also has two sons, Brandon and Dylan, with his ex-wife, Tracey Edmonds. They were married for 15 years from 1992 to 2002.

The R&B singer admitted in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that though he loved Tracey for a long time, he was never in love with her. In spite of this, the former couple remained great friends and co-parents to their children.

Tracey was once engaged to Eddie Murphy and is currently engaged to NFL player Deion Sanders.
