Mama June's Daughter Pumpkin Says She Wants to Slap Estranged Mom in the Face
Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon revealed that she wanted to “slap” her own mother in the face for choosing to have a less-than-better life for herself.
After Mama June Shannon’s youngest daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson appeared on “Toddlers & Tiaras,” their family shot to fame and had personal issues made known to the public.
PUMPKIN’S INTERVIEW
Through the years, Mama June and her family have dealt with problems that appeared on their reality show, and in the past months, things have only gotten worse.

Since the arrest, June and her kids have not been on good terms as they do not live with her and Doak, believing that he is a big part of their mother’s substance abuse issues.
Recently, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon released her bottled up frustrations about her estranged mother in a preview of “Mama June: Family Crisis.”
Pumpkin didn’t deny loving Mama June and doing “anything” for estranged mother. However, she added, “but at this point, I want to slap her in the face too.”

Pumpkin and her sister Alana mentioned the moments they had with June, which they missed, including doing errands and having fun together. Pumpkin said:
“I hope that she sees us doing better for ourselves and that maybe she’ll want better for herself too. Maybe that can inspire her. Try and be back in our lives.”
FEAR FOR MAMA JUNE’S LIFE
Last month, Pumpkin revealed that she feared her mother would die of a drug overdose if she doesn’t get her life together. The 20-year-old said:
“Everything she does is always a shock to us because this was obviously not the person that we all know and love.”

The reality star was arrested in 2019 for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia with her boyfriend, Geno Doak.
Since the arrest, June and her kids have not been on good terms as they do not live with her and Doak, believing that he is a big part of their mother’s substance abuse issues.

In fact, June has not been in touch with her own children since. Pumpkin, at that time, revealed that their messages are left unanswered by their mother.
MAMA JUNE’S GROWING FAMILY
June was only a teenager when she gave birth to her first daughter Ana, who likewise had a daughter before 18.

Joining the family trend, Pumpkin also had a child at the young age of 16, which taught her a lot in life, including responsibilities, maturing, and balancing.
Pumpkin now watches over her younger sister Alana as well, given the circumstances that their mother is not capable of doing so.
The sisters were part of June’s show, “Mama June: From Hot to Now,” while their sister Anna went on her own and Jessica attended college.
