KENYA'S JOYOUS EASTER WITH BROOKLYN

In spite of being confined to their home, mother and daughter dressed up for the occasion. Kenya wore a short white dress with a ruffled hemline and matched it with a pair of black pointy heels. Meanwhile., Brooklyn looked cute in a pink dress with a matching hat adorned with a bow.

If Kenya had it her way, she would have preferred for her daughter to grow up with a complete family. But that option is no longer on the table after she decided to separate from Marc [Daly] in September 2019.

“It isn’t hard to be happy when you are together and healthy,” Kenya wrote to caption her post. “May God bless everyone on this Holy day. Happy Easter,” she added.

BONDING WHILE IN QUARANTINE

Kenya has been enjoying her quality time with Brooklyn since filming for “Real Housewives of Atlanta” came to a halt due to the threat of COVID-19.

In a previous post, she shared a clip of her tiny tot hiding under her skirt as Kenya walked around her living room. Before that, Kenya brought Brooklyn for a quick grocery run to restock on toilet paper.

COPING WITH THE SEPARATION

Motherhood has been such a blessing to Kenya who had difficulty conceiving before welcoming Brooklyn with her estranged husband, Marc Daly. A product of in-vitro fertilization, Brooklyn has been the “light” of her mother’s life since.

If Kenya had it her way, she would have preferred for her daughter to grow up with a complete family. But that option is no longer on the table after she decided to separate from Marc in September 2019, just two years after they tied the knot and shortly after Brooklyn’s birth.

Kenya opened up about the problems with her marriage revealing a lack of communication and intimacy as the root. Marc and Kenya were frequently apart due to Marc’s business which widened the gap between them.

Kenya confessed that they were already having problems while pregnant with Brooklyn. In spite of her efforts to make things work, the decision to split up seemed what was best for Brooklyn.

The couple are amicable co-parents to Brooklyn now that they’re separated. Brooklyn shuttles between Atlanta where her mother lives and New York where her father is based in order to spend time with both parents.
