Fans of the series “Friends” will be thrilled to find out that the show will be back on air next month! The news was confirmed by the original cast via their social media channels.

On May 27, 2020, “Friends” will return to streaming on HBO Max. While promoting the ALL IN challenge, Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, and Lisa Kudrow, revealed that a special reunion would be held for the stars for HBO Max.

For the challenge, 6 fans would have a chance to join the actors on Stage 24 as personal guests in the audience. The winners would see the actors taping the special together for the first time in a long while.

According to Kudrow’s post, the cast would be reminiscing “about the show and celebrate the fun we had.” The winners would also get a chance to have coffee with the cast in Central Park and have a VIP experience on the Warner Bros. Studio Tour.

It’s going to be great

To enter the competition, fans were asked to donate to AllinChallenge.com. All the proceeds would be given to organizations that are working to feed the needy amidst the novel coronavirus pandemic.

“Friends” competition winners to meet cast

Winners would meet Aniston, Perry, Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Courteney Cox. The initial “Friends” reunion and HBO Max streaming had to be postponed due to the worldwide pandemic.

Last month, Cox appeared remotely on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” where she spoke about how she’s spending her time at home. Most people are currently self-isolating and social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Courtney Cox watching old reruns

The actress hilariously confessed that she was watching old episodes of the beloved NBC TV series to push time. She gave her reasons for choosing the show, revealing that she wasn’t just vain by stating:

“People love the show so much, I decided to binge-watch ‘Friends.’”

Cox preparing for reunion

The star confessed at the time that she’d just started with the first season. Cox got the idea to watch the show because of the upcoming reunion with her former castmates.

Matt sees his house on TV

The actor recalled being home watching TV, flipping through channels, and watching the news. He recalled seeing a six quadrant split-screen on the TV with each one showing a helicopter shot of the homes of his “Friends” castmates and his own.

LeBlanc notices roof issues from footage

What was bizarre was that “no information or news” was being shared just the shots of their houses. Taking it lightly, LeBlanc found a silver lining to the intrusion when he looked closely at his house and realized he needed a new roof.

When the helicopter flew away, the actor got a ladder and went up there.
