Alfonso Ribeiro's Son Ander Hits Shark Pinata during Quarantine Birthday Celebration

Alfonso Ribeiro and his wife Angela Ribeiro treated their son to an extended birthday celebration and surprised him with a piñata shaped like a shark.

"The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" star Alfonso Ribeiro and his wife Angela treated their son, Anders Reyn, to an intimate party as they celebrated for his fifth birthday amid quarantine. In her birthday message, Angela gushed:

"Happy 5th Birthday to my sweet, big-hearted, thoughtful, beach-lovin’, bug-obsessed, cake-addicted birthday boy!"

Along with the birthday tribute, she posted a picture of their son showing off a big smile as he clung to a gold shaped number five balloon.

While acknowledging the unique circumstances surrounding his celebration, Anders was dressed in a custom shirt that said, "I turned five in quarantine."

Days after his birthday party, Alfonso and Angela treated Anders to another surprise when they continued the celebrations with a "Baby Shark" shaped piñata.

Angela shared a picture on her Instagram story of the five-year-old excitedly beating the piñata with a small bat as he attempted to get to the candy inside.

The extended stay at home is in stark contrast to their usual lifestyle. In an interview with

, Alfonso revealed that he enjoys traveling with his family to give them first-hand experiences of the world, he explained:

"Yes, you can read about things in books but nothing lands and sticks with you throughout your life than personal experience."

The proud father of four explained to Closer Weekly how he juggles parenthood and his career, saying, "I've got two jobs. The first one, obviously, is to be a parent, and to be there and to give my kids the best experience."

He added that he has been able to create such a synchronized balance with his personal and professional life that his children don't know the difference because he is so present in their upbringing.

On May 13, 2020, Angela and Alfonso added another member to their tight-knit family when they welcomed their daughter named Ava Sue.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Alfonso revealed that Ava is a happy baby and smiles all time. He also shared that there is a lot of love in their home with their family of six.
