Inquisitr disclosed that the father-of-two had tearfully shown his appreciation for United States teachers who were working hard throughout the pandemic to be there for their students while social distancing.

The 40-year-old TV host's show of emotion, which can be seen on Today's Instagram feed, came just after his co-host, Hoda Kotb, honored a Nebraska librarian who started her own TV show from her basement.

The librarian reportedly started the show as a way to educate and entertain kids who are in lockdown at home.

Craig broke down in tears as he discussed how hard it has been to see his children deal with being forced to stay away from their teachers and friends. Craig, who shares his two children Delano and Sybil with his wife, Lindsay Czarniak, stated that:

"So little things like that, just thanks to all the teachers out there who are going the extra mile."

As it turned out, Lindsay shares her husband's sentiments as Daily Mail pointed out that she has uploaded several images of her children doing their daily lessons.

Back in March, the mother-of-two updated her followers with an appreciative message to her children's teachers who have helped them understand the art of homeschooling.

Lindsay told her followers that she was grateful to the "teachers in our lives who are sending lessons and plans and videos," to help with children's education and learning.

As regards her husband's emotional breakdown, Today reported that the TV host addressed his reaction later in the show on the "3rd hour of TODAY."

The site added that Craig's moving moment reminded many of Hoda shedding tears on-air after her interview with Saints quarterback Drew Brees. The duo had been talking about the effects that the novel coronavirus had on the city of New Orleans.
