Kelly Ripa is just about ready to throw in the towel when it comes to her hair. It's just too long for the bob-lover's liking, she explained in her show.

On Thursday, Kelly Ripa joined co-host Ryan Seacrest for the at-home version of their show, "Live with Kelly and Ryan." As soon as they began, Seacrest noticed that Ripa had changed her look.

The 49-year-old was wearing her hair in a slicked-back ponytail, and her gray hairs were starting to peek through at the top of her head. The clip is found below.

KELLY DESPERATE FOR HAIRCUT

Seacrest immediately pointed out the new look and how much he loved it. However, Ripa was less than ecstatic about the compromise she was making with her typically much shorter locks.

She said: "Because I need a haircut desperately and I've been trimming it myself — I told you — with kitchen scissors. I really want to lop it off, I want to give myself a bob, but the scissors are just too dull, it's too risky."

The hosts proceeded to move on with the rest of their segment, but it was clear that Ripa feels she's not in a great place with her hair. In a previous episode, she revealed that her beauty supplies are in the studio.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic lockdowns, she obviously can't access anything right now. So far, she's had to rely on her 18-year-old daughter, Lola, to help style her hair.

CUTTING HER SON'S HAIR

She's also done her part in a segment where she showed how to cut men's hair at home using son Michael's hair. The 22-year-old didn't seem too bothered by the experiment.

Back in April, Ripa first debuted her grays in an episode that saw her husband, Mark Conseulos, fill in for Seacrest. The couple went back and forth playfully as they talked about Ripa cutting her hair.

RIPA'S GRAYING AND CONSEULOS' MUSTACHE

They also revealed that Consuelos' new mustache was not well-accepted by the kids. When talking about grays, Consuelos was the sweetest when he said he loves to wake up and see Ripa in the morning.

He even admitted that he couldn't wait to see the host's whole head of hair turn completely gray. Ripa joked that it might happen by the end of the week.

SEACREST'S HILARIOUS CUTTING SESSION

Seacrest's look has also changed due to the COVID-19 situation. Ripa compared it to the villain Heatmiser from "The Year Without a Santa Clause" with a side by side on her Instagram.

Fans joined in the joke by comparing the look to other characters with similar hairstyles. The style was from when Seacrest attempted to do his hair at home. Maybe he should take tips from Ripa.
