During a conversation with his friend, Andy Cohen, on "SiriusXM's Andy Cohen Live," the new father divulged that he received a special call from the famous singer-songwriter, Elton John.

Anderson revealed the big news on his show "Anderson Cooper 360°" where he gushed about how "sweet and soft" his new baby is.

As soon as Anderson stated that he got a call from Elton, who he has interviewed quite a few times over the years, Andy was curious to find out if the singer-songwriter had welcomed his friend to the "Gay Dads Club."

ET Online noted that after Anderson responded with "I guess so," Andy recounted how the "Sacrifice" crooner also reached out to him when his son, Ben, was born. The father-of-one told his friend of many years that:

"He sent Ben, like, this Gucci shirt and Gucci shorts. I was like, how cool. I've met Elton John once, so maybe he is kind of welcoming us into the Gay Dads Club."

To which cooper added that Elton "paved the way" for them in many ways. While Elton has two sons, Elijah and Zachary, whom he shares with his husband, David Furnish, Daily Mail recalled that Anderson would be co-parenting with his ex-boyfriend, Benjamin Maisani.

Benjamin, whose relationship with Anderson ended in 2018, had been by the journalist's side as his surrogate gave birth. As at the time of the child's birth, Anderson reportedly stated that:

"Benjamin and I separated as boyfriends some time ago. We are still family to each other, and love each other very much."

According to People, Anderson revealed the big news on his show "Anderson Cooper 360°" where he gushed about how "sweet and soft" his new baby is. The 52-year-old then went on to share a post that he used to explain that he had chosen to name his son after his late father, Wyatt Emory Cooper.

The journalist also made it known that having his own child made him feel grateful to those who paved the way for him and others as he thought that being a "gay kid" would stop him from ever being a father.

Congratulations again to the new dad!
