Kim Fields became a child star after auditioning and getting the role of Dorothy "Tootie" Ramsey on the "Facts of Life," a role she almost walked out on. In a chat with "Fox News," the actress said that she almost didn't stay for the audition because she was a little black girl that walked into a sea of television-ready white girls, which made her feel that she wasn't supposed to be there.

However, her mother took her to the bathroom to tell her not to let anyone nor anything intimidate her; those words filled her with courage.

Quincy was born in 2013, amid miraculous circumstances, weighing 8 lbs., 8 oz. The actress and her husband were grateful to God for their newborn son. They had previously spoken about how difficult it was for them to conceive.

Kim said that her unexpected baby, who came when she was 45, was a surprise, but a happy one, coming after she had experienced two miscarriages. She also shared the first pictures of the adorable baby.
