Tamera Mowry of 'The Real' Mourns Late Niece Alaina Who Was Killed in California Mass Shooting

Tamera Mowry from 'The Real' shared a photo of her late niece as she revealed the bond her daughter shared with her in an emotional post about her grief.

Since co-hosting on "The Real," Tamera Mowry has always been candid about everything in her life from her marriage, motherhood, and career.

She also hasn't shied away from discussing the death of her niece Alaina Housley, who was murdered in 2018 during a shoot in at a bar in Thousand Oaks, California.

Shortly after the shooting occurred on November 7, 2018, Tamera and her husband, Adam Housley, took to social media to ask the public for help in locating their niece after family members could not get in contact with her.

The following day, in a statement to PEOPLE, the couple confirmed her death and admitted that their hearts were broken from their loss.

The pain of Alaina's death is a feeling that still lingers for her family and friends. Recently, Tamera shared a photo of her niece and daughter, Ariah. In her caption, she shared:

"These two whenever together we're inseparable. Ariah still calls you Lai Lai whenever I show her pictures of you."

In her emotional tribute, Tamera said she was confident that Alaina was watching over her family. She admitted, "I miss you terribly in the physical. But I know without a doubt you are with us in the spiritual."

"Always, she's always with you," said one commenter. Another person shared their support, adding, "prayers for God to give you comfort and peace." One fan noted the family resemblance with her son Aden.

a tour of her home she shared how Adam surprised her with a portrait of their niece, she revealed:

"It's a moment in time I will never forget. And what it teaches me is that you never know when God is going to call you."

According to O Magazine, Tamera admitted to her co-hosts on "The Real" that Alaina's untimely death changed her perspective on her life.

She revealed that it has taught her to be more present with her family and friends. She admitted that she's realized how short life is and is choosing to focus on the positive and important issues in her life.
