Since co-hosting on "The Real," Tamera Mowry has always been candid about everything in her life from her marriage, motherhood, and career.

She also hasn't shied away from discussing the death of her niece Alaina Housley, who was murdered in 2018 during a shoot in at a bar in Thousand Oaks, California.

Shortly after the shooting occurred on November 7, 2018, Tamera and her husband, Adam Housley, took to social media to ask the public for help in locating their niece after family members could not get in contact with her.

The following day, in a statement to PEOPLE, the couple confirmed her death and admitted that their hearts were broken from their loss.

The pain of Alaina's death is a feeling that still lingers for her family and friends. Recently, Tamera shared a photo of her niece and daughter, Ariah. In her caption, she shared:

"These two whenever together we're inseparable. Ariah still calls you Lai Lai whenever I show her pictures of you."

In her emotional tribute, Tamera said she was confident that Alaina was watching over her family. She admitted, "I miss you terribly in the physical. But I know without a doubt you are with us in the spiritual."

"Always, she's always with you," said one commenter. Another person shared their support, adding, "prayers for God to give you comfort and peace." One fan noted the family resemblance with her son Aden.
