Speaking to “People” magazine, a source explained how Meghan and Harry "always give each other incredibly romantic gifts." In September 2019, Meghan made her husband's birthday extra special by bringing back memories of a trip to Africa.

The couple went to the continent in 2016 when they first started dating. The insider shared: “Meghan recreated their Botswana camping adventures in their backyard."

THEIR VISIT TO BOTSWANA

The place allegedly “means so much to them,” especially to Harry. That is why Meghan, 38, recreated “that happy place” for him on his birthday.

The informant claimed that the duchess went as far as setting up a tent, adding sleeping bags, and cooked dinner in their own “Botswana where they fell in love." In their 2017 engagement interview, the couple shared how they’d visited Africa together after just two dates in London.

At the time, the pair had just met in the summer of 2016. Harry, 35, recalled how they’d "camped out with each other under the stars” for five days.

In 2017, the royal couple returned to Botswana to assist Dr. Mike Chase who heads Elephants Without Borders. For their second anniversary, the duo "both gave each other gifts based on 'cotton,'” adding:

“Undoubtedly, it was a very creative and romantic gesture as all their gifts are to one another."

HARRY’S SONG FOR MEGHAN

On their wedding day, Harry made it memorable by choosing a special musical piece for her to walk down the aisle to. George Frideric Handel’s “Eternal Source of Light Divine” was performed by Welsh soprano Elin Manahan Thomas for Meghan.

MEGHAN’S DAD FAILED TO ATTEND WEDDING

She recalled: “It really is so special for us and I think it’s one of those things we’ll treasure forever.” The wedding was almost a disaster when Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, failed to attend to walk her down the aisle.

BEING CLOSE TO FRIENDS

However, Harry’s father, Prince Charles, willingly filled Markle’s shoes on the day. Since moving to Los Angeles, the royal couple has been close enough to a few celebrity friends.

They include Oprah Winfrey, George and Amal Clooney, Serena Williams, and more.
