WHEN THE NEWS FIRST DROPPED

The “Married to Medicine” star who divorced from her husband, Dr. Gregory Lunceford last year first revealed the news of becoming a single mother last week during a live Instagram chat with Deux Magazine.

This is Quad’s first venture into motherhood though her desire to have kids with her husband of six years, Dr. Lunceford, became an important storyline in the reality show, “Married to Medicine.”

She disclosed that she was in search of a home to accommodate a new baby on the way. At the time, her daughter who was born on April 8 was in the hospital, and Quad couldn’t wait to meet her.

WHY HER MARRIAGE WAS CHILDLESS

It was never revealed why the couple didn’t have children but following Quad’s split with Dr. Lunceford, she revealed there were bigger problems in their marriage she needed to fix first before bringing a child into it.

Meanwhile, Dr. Lunceford claimed that they had not been intimate since their second year of marriage. Quad flatly denied this saying her husband was using the story as a means to justify his infidelity which became a major cause of their split.

HAPPY BEING SINGLE

The couple finalized their divorce in August 2019. Quad has since dropped Lunceford’s last name and is perfectly content being single when she returned to season 7 of her reality show alongside her friends and co-stars, Dr. Jackie Walters, Dr. Heavenly Kimes, and Dr. Contessa Metcalfe. Now it seems she’s ecstatic to start the new chapter in her life as a mother.
