Working with friends is one of the most productive ways of spending time together and makes coming to work meaningful. This is a fortune that best friends Julia Roberts and Dermot Mulroney have shared through the years.

BECOMING BEST FRIENDS

The co-stars had their first stint together in the 1997 flick "My Best Friend's Wedding." Years later, both reunited in 2013's dramatic comedy "August: Osage County."

The duo is also booked for a three-peat with Amazon's soon-to-stream psychological thriller "Homecoming."

"It's one of the reasons why being in the business so long is so fruitful when you can return to relationships," said the Oscar-winning actress as she reunited with Mulroney for a project.

Roberts continued to become a fan favorite in classics such as "Notting Hill," "Erin Brockovich," and "Ocean's Eleven."

Mulroney strongly shared the same sentiments, calling it a privilege to be working with the "Pretty Woman" star as he remembered all of their incredible scenes. He said:

"She happens to be my best friend, and all of that's been pretty well-chronicled, I think."

MAINTAINING A CLOSE RELATIONSHIP

It's not something new for the on-screen partners to say positive things about each other. In 2016, the 56-year old actor-musician said he'd "walk a mile on broken glass" for the actress.

Their relationship has caught the attention of many, and the Gold Derby Award nominee certainly does not mind, referring to the actress as a "delightful topic."

The pair previously teased the possibility of a sequel to "My Best Friend's Wedding." While Mulroney admitted that he has no clue of a possible storyline, he feels very rewarded knowing people continue to hold the characters dearly.
