As America erupts in a nationwide outrage following the prevalence of police brutality against African-Americans in the country, TV personality Eve revealed that she has had to begin her dialogue on the situation with her white British husband of 6 years.

Being in an interracial marriage, rapper Eve has been put in a rare position to help her white spouse and four step-children understand the intricacies of being a black person in America, as a way of tackling racism.

Speaking about the conversation she had with Cooper, Eve explained that while she is having "some of the most difficult and uncomfortable conversations," it has also been informative as they are trying to understand life through each other’s perspective.

She also acknowledged her 47-year-old husband’s efforts, who according to ET Online, she has been married to for six years saying,

“All he can do is try to understand and try to ask the questions, and he wants to understand, and that's what the nation -- that's what the world -- has to do."

While the Philadelphia born rapper currently admits to helping her husband understand racism from her angle, it was the Gumball 3000 owner that taught her how to relax and depend on him.
