Eve Admits Being Uncomfortable to Discuss Racism and Protests with Her White British Husband
As America erupts in a nationwide outrage following the prevalence of police brutality against African-Americans in the country, TV personality Eve revealed that she has had to begin her dialogue on the situation with her white British husband of 6 years.
Being in an interracial marriage, rapper Eve has been put in a rare position to help her white spouse and four step-children understand the intricacies of being a black person in America, as a way of tackling racism.

On Tuesday’s episode of “The Talk” Eve revealed that as protests continue in the country, she has had the opportunity to have constructive conversations, albeit uncomfortable with her husband, Maximillion Cooper.
Eve once discussed her beau's unique humor while recalling a joke he made about his dad not liking black people when he was about to introduce her to his parents.
Speaking about the conversation she had with Cooper, Eve explained that while she is having "some of the most difficult and uncomfortable conversations," it has also been informative as they are trying to understand life through each other’s perspective.
She also acknowledged her 47-year-old husband’s efforts, who according to ET Online, she has been married to for six years saying,
“All he can do is try to understand and try to ask the questions, and he wants to understand, and that's what the nation -- that's what the world -- has to do."
Madamnoire’s report on the rapper’s revelation shares that despite the riots allowing her to have difficult conversations with her husband, she was inspired by many of the protesters’ messages as they help her from getting too emotional.
While the Philadelphia born rapper currently admits to helping her husband understand racism from her angle, it was the Gumball 3000 owner that taught her how to relax and depend on him.
In Essence’s news piece celebrating their 4th wedding anniversary in 2018, the outlet recalled the T.V Host’s conversation with Cocoa Fab, where she admitted that marriage to Max changed her in a lot of ways as he helped to be less independent and learn to trust him to always be there for her.

Ebony reports that the rapper's admission occurred while she and her co-hosts were discussing interracial relationships. She explained although it was a joke, it frazzled her.
