Sharing a picture of himself and his wife snuggled together and smiling, Pastor Cal stated that people often spent their life learning how to love themselves and others.
He then alluded that the understanding of love was different for everyone. While some thought of it as a feeling that can be caught, others thought of love as something uncontrollable. However, for him and his wife, he said:
"Then there are others, like me and Wendy, who believe that it's a decision. We believe that love is an intellectual decision we make to fulfill one's legitimate needs."
The marriage counseling expert mentioned that he and wendy and some others like them often took conscious and deliberate effort to love and control how they think.
Pastor Cal stated that it is easy for people to give up and say they had "fallen" out of love than to be accountable and hold themselves responsible for their decisions.
Love is not an illusion, and everyone needed to put in the required effort and seek help if and when the need arises.
He then admonished people saying that one had to be accountable and not blame their actions on the fact that some ethereal force is controlling their action without their consent.
Pastor Cal added that although it was easier for one to attribute their decisions to something or someone else, everyone needed to do better and acknowledge their parts in things they do. He concluded the post saying:
"Love has everything to do with the legacy we leave to the next generation on how to treat each other, but it starts with us."
